Elected to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha for the First Time in 2017 and again in 2022 from Jagraon Assembly Constituency. Remained, Member of Committee on Questions and References, Committee on Papers Laid / To be Laid on the Table of the House and Committee on Subordinate Legislation of Punjab Vidhan Sabha and also the Deputy Leader of Opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha during the first term. In the present term, remained Chairperson of Committee on Cooperation and Allied Activities of Punjab Vidhan Sabha during 2022-2023; and presently Chairperson of the Committee on Welfare of SCs, STs and BCs of Punjab Vidhan Sabha for the year 2023-24.
